Marc Bernal has been given the green light to return from an ACL tear suffered in August 2024, but didn't feature in preseason and likely won't feature against Mallorca.
While Marc-Andre ter Stegen doesn't look to have a spot in Barca's 25/26 side anyway, he's confirmed his asbence for at least the first half of the season, undergoing back surgery and starting the process of being deregistered by Barcelona.
New signings Marcus Rashford and Joan Garcia still haven't been registered and Barca is looking to register them with salary space freed by Inigo Martinez and Marc-Andre ter Stegen.

Mallorca Team News
No major absences reported for Mallorca ahead of their season opener against Barcelona

Match Preview
While Barcelona will be relying on their seemingly still otherworldly attack against Mallorca, who scored 20 goals in 4 preseason matches, Mallorca will be relying on giant killer Vedat Muriqi, with four goals against Barcelona and Madrid throughout his career.
It'll also be an interesting match for goalkeepers. Joan Garcia is expected to make his competitive debut with Barcelona and should be registered in time, and Mallorca is expected to start usual backup Leo Roman, whose previous two matches are a 2-1 loss to Madrid in which he got 10 saves and a 9.3 match rating, and a 1-0 loss to Barcelona in which he got 12 saves and a 9.4 match rating.
